Well, the weather didn't cooperate this weekend. Per the weather man, it is supposed to warm up this week. We're hoping for a trip to the Columbus Zoo and we will try again for outdoor pics of the 2 little ones.

Elijah was interested enough in the oversized crayons to sit down and let me take a few pictures of him. I may have to bribe him with a giant sucker for the outdoor pictures. He's growing so fast and seems to understand almost everything we say but he's still not talking too much. I guess that comes from having 4 sisters, 3 of which will give him whatever he wants.

I am so looking forward to the nicer weather. I have several families waiting for leaves on the trees.

Busy March

6092b.jpg

So this month we have been crazy busy. I made a personal goal for myself to get some great prints of my own kids (which i don't do often enough). We took a walk last weekend with all five kids and the puppy to see what we could find. I tried to get a group shot of all of the kids but Elijah wasn't having any of that. He was in no mood to pose. So i gave up on that idea and decided to just focus on the big girls. This is Maya. She is our oldest and will be 10 in July. Maya is very into clothes and music. She is a girly girl, loves having her picture taken and we had a ball. I found this really awesome alley here in town and the light was perfect.

This is Emileigh. She is 9 and i love her serious look. Emileigh is our easy going child. She doesn't want to play any sports but is the first to take up any art project. She isn't much into posing for me but was willing to let me get a few good ones. This one is my favorite of her.

And here is Addison. She is 6 (almost 7 if you ask her). She can't take a serious picture if she wants to. She is very outgoing and just loves everyone. The goal for these photographs was to have similar backgrounds so that we could get three gigantic canvases to hang on our wall. This weekend i will take the 2 little ones out and try some shots in the same location so that we can get all 5 in canvas. I just love our children. They all have different personalites and funny, quirky, unique views. I always wanted a big family and i am definitely blessed. Stay tuned for more of our little ones!

Winner Announced!

We're back! It has taken me almost a week to get over the time changes from Las Vegas and over the weekend. I feel like we have lost 1/2 a day not just 4 hours. WPPI (wedding and portrait photographers institute) was a lot of work and a lot of fun. We took some super inspirational classes. My absolute favorites were Daniel Doke, Dawn Shields, and JB and DeEtte Sallee. Thanks so much to all of the speakers for sharing their wealth of information with everyone there!

And now on to the fun stuff! I would like to introduce, Canon, our studio mascot! She is 1/2 Shepherd and 1/2 Great Dane. And the lovely Cati is with her. Congratultions to Jenni Lynn for correctly guessing what our new mascot would be!
